Ferrell Largent, Sr. Obituary

Ferrell Dean Largent, Sr., a cherished husband, father, and sportsman, passed away unexpectedly in Branson, MO, on December 18, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on May 14, 1941, in Barber, AR, to the late Eucle and Mable Largent, Ferrell lived a life marked by adventure and selflessness.

As a young man, Ferrell attended school and then left to work and help support his family.  He served his country through his basic training with the United States Air Force before becoming an industrial painter in Tulsa, OK. Ferrell met the love of his life, Phyllis Henshaw, and they began their life journey together in marriage in 1970 in Sapulpa, OK.

Ferrell cherished moments spent fishing, camping, and traveling with his family. His joy was in sharing his passions, often gathering his children and their friends for excursions to fish, pick berries, or shoot guns. His interests also included airplanes and he had a great knowledge of them.  He was a great writer and kept meticulous tablets of his writings. Ferrell lived fully, loved deeply, and left a legacy of fond memories for all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Largent; children, Carl Leon Childers, Catricca Tippin, Tammey Largent, April Largent, Ferrell Largent, Jr., and Shelly Largent; fifteen grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
