Ellis Ward LeCroy was born December 12, 1947 in Clanton, Alabama to Walter Cecil LeCroy and Ivy Leoid (Grooms) LeCroy. He grew up in Alabama, graduating in 1966 from Isabella High School in Maplesville. On November 29, 1969, Ellis married his sweetheart, Rebecca Exline in Coalton, Ohio. Ellis moved to Branson from Salem, Illinois in 1973. He worked as an Operating Engineer in highway and bridge construction for a variety of companies throughout his career.
Ellis entered into rest on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 72.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Gail Gravely.
Ellis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Becky; his loving children Tiffany LeCroy Patton (Michael) of Hollister, Missouri, Tara LeCroy Dalton (Steven), of Galena, Missouri; his two granddaughters, Michaela Patton and Minnie Dalton; and his sister Cathy LeCroy Marcus (Alan) of Clanton, Alabama.
The family will have a private service at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson with Rev. Chuck Phillips officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Directors, Branson.
