Ellen Lee Obituary

Ellen Schon Lee, 84, of Hollister passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on July 10, 1935 in Indianapolis to Cecil & Ruby Schon. She grew up in Indiana, graduated as a registered nurse from Indiana University and worked taking care of mothers and babies in the maternity ward. She desired to give back and spent much of her time volunteering. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting and cooking.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband David Lee, son Hilary Lee and sister Julia Huntington.

She is survived by her children, David Lee of Rockaway Beach, MO; Robin Lee and wife Joan Klein of Colorado Springs, CO; and Sterett Hollenbach and husband James of Hollister, MO along with one grandson, Benjamin Lee.
