Edith Prudence Stewart was born on September 30, 1916 in Reno, Missouri. She was the daughter of Ralph McMichael and Elgia (Taylor) McMichael. Edith taught school for a year in Oakridge, MO. She married William Franklin “Jack” Stewart of Spokane on April 27, 1936 in Windy City, Missouri. Edith was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed taking care of her family and making home a wonderful place to be. She had resided in Forsyth for many years and celebrated sixty-eight years of marriage to Jack before his death in 2005.
Edith entered into rest on May 15, 2018 at the age of 101.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Stewart; her daughter, Judith Stewart; sister, Lucille Allen and brother, Wallace McMichael.
Edith is survived by her sons, David Stewart and wife Sue of Walnut Shade and Mike Stewart and wife Cheryl of Harrison, Arkansas; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Graveside services will be at 12:00 P.M. in Eisenhour Cemetery in Spokane with Pastor Sam Kaunley officiating.
