Eddie Joe Slama was born on July 8, 1957 in Webb City, Missouri to Harold & Berniece Slama. He grew up in Trenton, Missouri and attended school there. He had lived various places in Southwest Missouri with his loving wife Brenda. He was a proud property owner and manager in the neighborhood where they lived in Branson West. He always made time to talk or help out folks in the neighborhood who he considered to be good friends. Ed retired from a long successful career in trucking last year. When he wasn’t on the road he enjoyed time with friends, playing the guitar and singing, and driving in his ’57 Chevy and attending car shows.
He was a very kind, caring and friendly man. He’ll be remembered as someone who was truly selfless all the way until the end. He was a great husband, a great dad and a great guy.
Ed entered into rest on May 14, 2021 at the age of 63 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ed is survived by his wife, Brenda of Branson West; children, Sean Haden and wife Autumn of Branson West, Philip Slama of San Francisco, CA, Jarred Slama of Kansas City, MO and Amanda Brown and husband Bobby of Springfield along with thirteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
