Dorothy Elaine Gabriel

Dorothy Elaine (Standley) Gabriel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 20, 2021 at the age of 84.  She was born in Des Plaines, Illinois on December 15, 1936 to Anna Catherine and Peter Alfred Standley.  She married the love of her life, Harry Donald Gabriel on August 28, 1954.  Together they had three children, Debbie (Andrew) Meyers of Cleveland, Minnesota; Donald (Kathleen) Gabriel of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Douglas (Cheryl) Gabriel of Branson, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Brenda (Todd) Sassen, Aaron (Lindsey) Meyers, Kristen (Joel) Jorgenson, Hanna Woodburn, Evan Dombross, Joshua (Mary) Gabriel, Jordan Gabriel, and Jasmine (Nick) Monteleon; and nine great grandchildren.

Dorothy had a sparkly personality, a big smile, contagious laugh, a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party.  She loved spending time with her family, playing games, listening to music and watching her sons perform on stage.  She love the Lord and wanted to share the Good News of Jesus with everyone she knew.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Louise Elsemiller and Evelyn Miller along with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
