Dolores Ann Getman

Dolores Ann Getman, 74, of Lampe, MO, departed in peace to be with her Lord Jesus on the afternoon of June 29, 2020. 

There will be a Celebration of Life service held Friday, July 3 at 12:00 PM with a visitation at 11:00 AM at New Life Temple in Hollister, MO. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 6 at 2PM in the Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, OK. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Directors, Branson.

Dolores Ann Getman was born May 5, 1946 in Anadarko, OK. She was one of six children born to Pierce and Isabella (Tillery) Anderson. Dolores graduated from high school in Fairfax, OK the class of 1964. She lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri throughout the course of her life. About 26 years ago, she made Branson her final home moving here from Cherokee, KS and convincing a lot of her adult children to come with her. Her final years were spent surrounded by her family. Nothing made her happier than her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren popping in her door just to visit.

Dolores spent the course of her life serving the Lord however she could. Anytime she encountered new people, she would likely tell them about Jesus and pray with them. She attended Faith Life Church in Branson for 18 years. Her final days were spent with Light of Glory in Hollister. She was also known for finding local prayer meetings and attending them every chance she got. If she couldn’t find one to attend, she was likely to start one in her own home with friends or family in person or on the phone.

Her hobbies were painting, flower gardening, and traveling, however, the things she loved most were spiritual. She loved reading the Bible, witnessing to others, praying in the Holy Spirit, and fellowshipping with brothers and sisters in Christ. Right next to her love for the Lord was her love for her family. She spoke often of her parents and siblings whom she knew she would be seeing soon, and she loved talking to and about her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Rodney Todd Getman; her stepson, David Getman; her four brothers-Tom Anderson, David Anderson, Richard Anderson, Dale Anderson; and one sister, Loraine Axton; her two husbands- Mike McInroy and Charles Getman.

Dolores is survived by her loving children: daughter Pam Metzger (Jay) of Kirbyville, MO; son Mike McInroy (Amy) of Wagoner, OK; daughter Paula Tresler (David) of Lampe, MO; son Jay Getman of Branson, MO; stepson Wayne Getman of Columbus, KS; as well as eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
