Deanna Hamon Obituary

Deanna Mae Hamon, 55, of Kirbyville, MO passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Deanna was born on April 13, 1964 in Marshalltown, IA to Donald Croskrey and Barbara (Bacon) Croskrey Cline.  She is preceded in death by her parents, foster parents Hardy and Patricia Stewart, grandparents Kenneth and Emma Bacon, mother-in-law Verna Hamon, and brother-in-law Todd Hamon.

Deanna was a woman of God who loved the Lord with all her heart.  That love was evident through the life she lived and the many lives she touched.  Deanna married the love of her life, Chris Hamon (Hammy), on October 13, 1984.  Their 34 years of marriage was a testament of unwavering love that remained steadfast through the hills and valleys of life.

Deanna graduated from Branson High School.  She worked at the 76 mall in the T-shirt shop, ran an in-home daycare for almost 10 years, and worked as a lunch lady in the Kirbyville school system until her daughter graduated 8th grade.  Deanna loved to read and smell books, find treasures in antique stores, remodel, decorate, bake, travel, and enjoyed time spent at their lake house in Lake Whales, FL.  She loved spending time with family and friends that created many memories full of love and laugher.  What gave her the most joy was her little blessings: Cooper, Callie, Colter, Jax, and soon to arrive Maverick, that lovingly called her gigi.  She truly was the best gigi ever.

She is survived by her loving husband Chris Hamon; son Jacob (& Becca) Hamon; daughter Megan (& Cole) Johnston; grandchildren Cooper, Callie, & Colter Hamon, and Jax Johnston; brother Craig (& Jan) Croskrey; brother Kim (& Celeste) Croskrey; sister Susan Sloan; sister Sandi (& Chris) Stewart, sister Sharron Croskrey, and sister Deborah Croskrey (& Alex Alexander); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.  Each one had a special place in her heart and her love will continue to live on through the lives she touched.

A celebration of Deanna’s life will be held at 9:00 am, Friday, August 2, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 400 S Sunshine, Branson, Mo 65676 followed by a graveside service at Mincy Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at 5:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday, August 1, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Branson.  Arrangements by Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
