David Oren Payne, passed away on December 3, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 61. Born on January 11, 1962, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Lawrence George Payne and Barbara Jo Payne, David lived a life marked by devotion, love and generosity.

David leaves behind his loving wife of over 36 years, Cookie Jo Payne, whom he married on March 28, 1987. Together, they raised two daughters, Mindy Jo Baird and Misha Lee Payne, son, Rance Allyn Payne and cherished the joy brought by their five granddaughters, McKenzie Allison, Laurie Payne, Sherri Baird, Aurora Payne and Natalie Baird. He is also survived by his sister Cindy Brake and brother Jerry Payne along with his dear mother, Barbara Jo Payne.

David has been an electrician for 45 years and most recently for Ewing Signal serving airports in the area. He faithfully attended Life Church in Springfield. He had moved his family to the Branson area 33 years ago. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be on December 9th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Fellowship at Cross Creek, 505 Cedar Park Rd., Branson. Services will be at 2:00 pm with burial to follow in Schupbach Cemetery in Chestnutridge, MO.  Services are in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
