Connie Ellen Smith

Connie Ellen Smith was born on November 1, 1951 in Holdrege, Nebraska.  She married Ernest J. “Ernie” Smith on August 24, 1973 in Forsyth, MO.  Connie was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Branson, Missouri on June 4, 1984.

Connie loved gardening, and later on in her life she grew to appreciate cats.  She had a difficult time not turning away strays that would come by her house.

Connie entered into rest on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at her home in Hollister at the age of 67.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie.

She is survived by her children, James Smith of Hollister and Laurie Wegner of New Haven, IN and grandchildren, Kylee, Maylen, Payton, Harold and Hayden.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, June 6, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Funeral services will be Friday, June 7 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Richard Stoberl officiating and burial following in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery.
