Clay May Obituary

Clay D. May, 88, Branson entered into rest on Sept. 15, 2018 at his home, with his family surrounding him. Celebration of life services were conducted with his family.  Cremation was under the direction and completed by Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Clay Dean May was born September 18, 1929 in Larkinberg, Kansas.  He was the son of Harry C. and Maude Della (Fink) May.  He graduated high school and began his life.  Clay married on August 12, 1951 in Russell, Kansas the love of his life MaJewel Nonine Wilson.  They were blessed with five sons. Clay and Jewel had celebrated sixty-seven years together, the first of August.

Clay had lived in Colorado for many years working for the Coors Corporation in the software development division.  When he retired he and Jewel moved to the Tri-Lakes area about twenty-five years ago from Colorado. 

He had attended the River Church in Forsyth.  When they moved to Branson they enjoyed watching the James River Church on television.

Clay was a volunteer at Skaggs/Cox Community Hospital 20+ years.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and dancing with his wife.  They were members of various dancing clubs from Colorado to Branson.  They enjoyed waltz, ballroom, line dancing, square dancing and two step, to name a few.

He was very proud of his family down to the great great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Clay is survived by his loving wife Jewel and five sons Clay May, Jr. (Dee) of Denver, Colorado; Allen May (Rebecca) of Woodlands, TX.; Ricky May of NorthGlenn, CO; Rodney May (Barbara) of NorthGlenn, CO; Bret May (Rachel) of Castle Rock, CO; two brothers Charles May of Salina, KS; Robert May of Hays, KS; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
