Chris Keen

Chris Keen, 62 of Merriam Woods, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023 at her home.  Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.  Private burial will be in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.

Christina Straub was born on December 15, 1960 in Springfield, IL.  She was the daughter of Donald & Carolyn (Pyle) Straub.  In 1980, she met Gary Keen and they later married in 1990.  Chris devoted herself to making a home and raising her three children.  She moved with her family to southwest Missouri from Bloomington, IL.  Chris loved being active including roller skating, playing bingo, painting and doing needlepoint. Her favorite quote was from Little House on The Prairie. "Remember with smiles and laughter, for that's the way I'll remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all." Such a stronger statement has never been truer. -Holly 

Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Carolyn and Gary Keen.

She is survived by her children, James Straub of Jefferson City, Holly Gullet & husband Ryan of Hollister, Karen Schaeperkoetter & husband Gary of Branson; grandson, Steve & Wife Cassie and great-grandson Daemon.
