Cheryl Marie (Hutt) Cross

Cheryl Marie Hutt was born February 3, 1956 to John & Helene Hutt in Des Moines, Iowa.  She was raised with her sister, Lisa and brother, David.

Her family moved to Springfield when she entered high school.  She got her first job at McDonald’s to help pay for her graduation ring, gown and announcements.  She graduated from Christian School of Springfield, while her father was graduating from Baptist Bible College.

The family moved back to Des Moines, where she met the love of her life, Mark Allen Cross.  They were married June 8, 1978.  She was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom to raise their two daughters, Shannah Marie Cross Shry and Danielle René Cross.

Cheryl went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2020 from complications from an illness.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Allen Cross, her oldest daughter Shannah Marie (Justin) Shry and their four daughters, her youngest daughter Danielle René Cross and her sister Lisa Hutt Downing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother David, two sons, Michael & Ian and one grandson, Braden Michael.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be Thursday, September 3 at 10:00 A.M. at Faith & Wisdom Church in Branson.
