Charlcie Marie (Edwards) Rains

Charlcie Marie (Edwards) Rains was born on July 19, 1919 in Taney County, Missouri.  She was the daughter of George David Edwards and Mary Carolyn (Coffelt) Edwards.  Charlcie was raised and spent her entire life in Taney County.  She attended the Pleasant Hill School.  On November 17, 1934, she married Cleo Clifford “Red” Rains in Powersite.  They were blessed with one son, Bobby.  Charlcie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and took great care of her family and home.  She was a member of Sardis Church and the Powersite Community Club.

Charlcie entered into rest on May 22, 2018 in Powersite at the age of 98.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Red Rains; son, Bobby Rains; two brothers, Herschel Edwards and Granvil Edwards and two sisters, Gladys Keith and Frances Brown. 

Charlcie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Suzanne (Bartholomew) Rains; grandchildren, Patti Turner and husband Tony and Donnie Rains and wife Cindy all of Powersite; four great grandchildren, Casey Rains, Ashley Dombek, Cole Rains and Toby Turner along with twelve great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Edwards Cemetery in Powersite with Pastor Joshua Johannes officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
