Services for Bob Blunk, lifetime Hollister resident, will be Friday, February 28, 2025 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
Bobby R. Blunk was born on April 10, 1930 in Taney County. He was one of 4 sons born to Louie & Gladys Blunk. He graduated from Hollister High School where he had played on the basketball team for the Tigers including the 1945-1946 championship team. He served in the United States Army and when he returned he went to work for Union Gas. He worked many years under Dewey Sailsbury before later becoming manager for the gas company and retiring after nearly 40 years.
Bob married Billye Marie “Jim” Turner on January 1, 1954 in Branson and they enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. In their retirement years they enjoyed going to auctions. Bob loved the auctions so much and attended so many, Holt Auction Service invited him to work with their auction service which he did for many years.
Bobby passed away on February 20, 2025 at Cox Medical Center in Branson. He was 94.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Billy and Buddy Blunk and the love of his life, Billye M. “Jim” Blunk.
He is survived by his brother, Benny Blunk of Texas, extended family and friends.
