Billy Dildine Obituary

Funeral services for Billy Joe Dildine, 88, formerly of Reeds Spring, will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.  Burial will follow Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Mr. Dildine entered into rest on February 24, 2021 at his son’s home in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.

Billy Joe Dildine was born January 3, 1933 in Martin, Tennessee.  He was the son of Samuel Harvey and Myrtle Dildine.   Billy married Jennie Dykstra on November 11, 1961 at Stone Church in Palos Heights, Illinois and they had celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage before Jennie’s passing in 2019.  Billy and Jennie had lived in Chicago and eight years in Downers Grove, Illinois before moving to the Tri-Lakes area in 1998 which they had fallen in love with over years of vacationing here.

Billy had worked as a maintenance coordinator in manufacturing in Illinois before retiring.  He enjoyed all types of music including country and old rock-n-roll.  Billy also liked to watch wrestling.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jennie; infant son, Billy Ray Dildine; brother, Rayford Dildine; and sisters, Mary Frances Robbins, Elizabeth “T” Lee and Zola Mae Dilday.

Billy is survived by his son Billy A. Dildine (Susie) of Berkeley Springs, WV, daughter Janet Montgomery of Hurst, TX; granddaughter Kayla Beth Dildine of Elgin, IL; brothers, Ben Dildine of TX and Bob Dildine of TN; and sisters, Sarah Snyder, Naomi Williams, Martha Dean Arrington and Irene Dilday all of TN.

Visitation will be at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson on Wednesday, March 10 from 1-5 PM.
