Beverly Joan Strother was welcomed into eternal peace on August 18, 2023, in Taneyville, Missouri. Born January 5, 1940, in Macomb, Illinois, Beverly left remarkable and sweet memories, which her loved ones will cherish forever.
Her parents, Rollie Herbert Black and Faye Ruth (Kelly) Black, her husband Roy Strother, son Lawrence Spoon, sisters Rose Weber, Pat McDaniel, Judy Mikel, and grandson Christopher Pauling predeceased her. Beverly leaves behind her daughter, Brenda Burgan, grandchildren, Lawrence Quintana (Jennifer Love), Rose Reynolds, and Crellin Pauling, great-grandchildren Savannah Quintana, Aleah Quintana, Shane Quintana, June Pauling, and baby Selma soon to be born.
Beverly moved to Taneyville from Washington in the early 1990s, quickly establishing a warm home. She was also a devoted member of St. Joseph Anglican Church in Branson, where her devotion and kindness radiated throughout the congregation.
Beverly’s heart and passion was raising, riding, and showing horses. She was a member of the Taney County Riding Club. As a talented painter, her depictions of horses, water scenery, and boats reflected the world as she saw it: beautiful, serene, and full of life. She also loved reading. One of Beverly’s greatest gifts was caring for people. She was selfless and always considering others above herself.
A celebration of her life will be Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Anglican Church, Branson.
