Celebration of life for Betty J. Zaruba, 86, Branson will be held 10:30 am Friday, April 5, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Branson. Bishop Ryan Sorenson will officiate. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Burial will be Saturday, April 6 at 11 AM, Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, Okla.
Betty was born June 18, 1932 to Walter Clifton and Ruby Lee (McWhorter) Marcum, in Chickasha, Okla. She married Larry Lee Zaruba on Aug, 23, 1959 at Long Beach, Calif.
In her early career, she worked as a telephone operator, then many years as a secretary, and in 1985 decided it was time to be an entrepreneur and left the secretarial world and started a Sir Speedy Printing business in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., of which she owned and operated for many years. She and her husband made Branson their permanent residence in 2009 moving from Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. Betty was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Branson and a Lifetime Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Sister since the early 1960’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry Lee Zaruba, one brother Bobby Jack Klaeger and one great granddaughter Brooklynn Kay Busby.
Betty is survived by her loving children Bill Busby of Oklahoma City, Ok., Edric Zaruba of Rancho Cucamonga, Ca., Roberta Busby of Oklahoma City, Ok., Laura Lundgren of Etiwanda, Ca., two brothers Danny Marcum of Albuquerque, NM., Richard Marcum of Lubbock, TX., one sister, Annette Humphrey of Albuquerque, NM, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
