Betty Tyler Stoddard of Rockaway Beach, MO passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2024. She was 88.

Betty was born on October 29, 1935 to Douglas and Mildred Wilson in Baltimore, MD, the second oldest of four children.

Betty married James (Jimmy) W. Stoddard on October 02, 1952. They had 4 children, Susan, Carol, Ronald and Janice. They moved from Grandview, MO, to Rockaway Beach, MO, in 1990.

She was a woman of many interests including collecting beanie babies and dolls. She loved to write letters and document her days. She had a great memory and could tell you anyone’s birthday if you asked.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband James Stoddard, parents Douglas and Mildred Wilson, her brother Robert (Bob) Wilson and her daughter Janice Haefele.

She is survived by her children, Susan Robinson of Blue Springs MO, Carol Brown of Independence MO, and Ronald (Ronny) Stoddard of Kissee Mills MO. Brother Douglas Wilson Jr. of Lone Jack MO, Sister Dorothy (Dotty) Sanders and Brother-in-law Curry Sanders of Rayville MO; sixteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Services will be Monday, February 12, 2024 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home and burial in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
