Betty Gingell Obituary

Funeral services for Betty Jean Gingell, 84 of Nixa, Missouri formerly of Branson, Missouri will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.   Burial will follow at the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Mrs. Gingell entered into rest Wednesday morning May 13, 2020 in Nixa, Missouri.  Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Directors, Branson, Missouri.

Betty Jean Gingell was born Dec. 18, 1935 in Topeka, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Corbett and Cora (Simpson) Crumpley.   Betty married Maurice Gingell Sr. on August 27, 1959 in Topeka, Kansas.  They had celebrated thirty-eight years together before his passing in 1998.  In their marriage together Betty and Maurice were blessed with three children.

Betty worked in the motel business in Branson for 20 years.  She was very active with her husband in his endeavors with the Boy Scouts of America for over thirty years.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Branson, Missouri.  Betty was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, a member of the National Rifle Association and she was very active in the Marine Corps Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Betty is survived by her children Maurie Gingell II and his wife Rhonda of Nixa, Missouri, Rhonda Boatwright and her husband Scott of Aurora, Missouri, Richard Gingell and his wife Julie of Branson, Missouri and one step-daughter Maurine Gragg of Kansas City, Kansas.  She is also survived by her siblings Robert Crumpley of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Peggy Crumpley of Rosedale, Kansas and Judy Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada along with seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
