Barbara A. Dixon

Barbara Alice Dixon, 68 of Kirbyville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2020, due to pancreatic cancer.  

Barbara was born in Mountain Grove, Missouri August 13, 1952 and married the love of her life, Bob Dixon June 20, 1969 They lived and raised their family in Kirbyville for 51 years.  She retired from working full time at Hush Puppies and continued to work full/part time until she fell sick in June of 2020.  She was one very hardworking woman, always giving 110% all the time to whatever job she was doing.  Her hobbies included square dancing, crocheting and scratch off tickets. 

Barbara was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 32, Forsyth Missouri for over 25 years.    

Barbara is preceded in death by her grandson Stephen Retasket and is survived by her husband, Bob Dixon of Kirbyville; daughter Ruth (Ronald) Johnson of Raymore Missouri; son Myron (Beth) Dixon of Bradleyville Missouri; daughter Norma (Roland) Desrochers of Branson Missouri; and daughter Helen (Scott) Christensen of Reeds Spring Missouri;  11 Grandchildren —Christina Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Emmily Johnson, Nathan Johnson,  Chrysta Sanchez, Christopher Casey, Myron Dixon Jr., Racheal Harty, Gary Retasket, Justin Christensen, and Bethany Christensen; 4  Great- Grandchildren– Hunter, Soren, Emmerson, and Owen; two sisters, Jeanie Spangler and Debbie Baer; as well as many brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the First Assembly of God Church, 399 State Hwy T, Branson, MO.  Funeral services will be conducted at the church on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at the Mincy Cemetery.
