Amanda LaCore-Norell Obituary

Amanda Lloene LaCore-Norell unexpectedly passed away December 9, 2020 in Mincy, MO. She was born July 5, 1992 in Springfield, MO to Robert and Tammy Martin LaCore. Amanda spent the majority of her life in Taney County.

She attended Hollister Schools, graduating with honors in 2010. Amanda was a proud member of the Lady Tigers’ softball team and was recognized as one of the outstanding catchers in the area. They brought home the first-ever District Championship in girls’ sports for the school. Amanda worked for several years as the manager of the DMV in Branson and Branson West and was lovingly referred to as the Crazy DMV Lady. Currently she was working as the Assistant Manager for the family business, LaCore Logistics, in Kirbyville.

Amanda was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time at the farm of her Uncle Bill Ertel in Greentop, MO. She shot her first turkey on Halloween in 2018 - dressed in her Batgirl costume! Amanda loved to fish with her family and had a special love of setting lines for catfish with her dad. She loved to swim, wakeboard and tube on Table Rock Lake. She always enjoyed bird hunting at Flying Feathers with her family and going to the tractor pulls in Ozark.

She was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing as well as painting and other art projects with her mom and grandmothers Shirley and Lloene.  Amanda also loved photography and could often be found photographing weddings and families. She loved to attend Dallas Cowboys games with her Uncle Terry and Aunt Jenn LaCore and their family.

But more than anything, Amanda loved her two boys, Andy and Will. They spent their time working on crafts, playing with the dogs Lucky and Maggie, collecting rocks, gardening, going on hikes, camping, swimming, and fishing. She loved her boys more than anything and being their mommy was her greatest joy in life.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Bob and Donna LaCore, Lecil (Boxcar Willie) Martin, Claude Koenig, and Max and Betty Davis.

Amanda is survived by her husband Garrett Norell and sons Andrew and William of the home in Forsyth, her father Robert (Tammy) LaCore of Ridgedale, mother Tammy (Chris) Davis of Ozark, birth mother Jessica (Ed) Uhrig of Springfield, brothers Travis LaCore of McKinney, Texas, Jesse (Brette) Morton of Lebanon, Brian (Alyssa) Davis of Iowa, sisters Cynthia Jones of Springfield, Mandy (Terry) Mitchell of Chadwick, Ashlee (Keith) Curtis of Kansas City, grandmothers Shirley LaCore of Hollister, Lloene Stepp of Ozark, Dorothy Koenig of Taneyville, Nola Jones of  Little Rock, Arkansas , Dwayne and Donna Uhrig of Republic , brother-in- law Shane (Lauren) Norell of Columbia, in laws Gary and Sharon Norell of Mansfield,  and a host of family and friends who will forever miss her.
