Adam Young Obituary

Adam Wallace Young, 45 of Nixa, passed away on April 17, 2024. He was born on March 22, 1979, in St. Paul, MN, to Marvin Young and the late Dawn Howard.

Adam’s early years were spent in the Twin Cities where he attended school and held different jobs before joining the United States Air Force at the age of 22. His military career took him to many air bases across the U.S. including Little Rock AFB in Arkansas where he met Lana Brown and the two were married on October 9, 2002.  Adam had also taken his family to Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii and RAF Mildenhall in England from which he retired.

After his retirement, the family settled in Nixa in June of 2023 and Adam worked for Amazon distribution.

Adam will be remembered as a compassionate and generous man.  He gave much to others, especially to younger airmen whom he tirelessly supported in both practical matters and through personal mentorship. Adam was also a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to Lana and an amazing father, always ensuring the care of his family.

He will be deeply missed by the many people who had the honor of knowing him.  He leaves behind his wife, Lana Young and children, Hannah, Seth, Logan and Hope all of Nixa; his father, Marvin Young and wife Brenda of WI; his half-brother Jim Young of WI and brother Avery Young of MN, and his in-laws Larry and Helen Brown of AR and Pauline Brown of AR.

Memorial service will be held April 27, 2024 at 2:00pm. VFW Post 3404, 1136 E. Atlantic St., Springfield, MO 65803.
