Tommy Hopkins Obituary

Thomas Leroy Hopkins was born February 2, 1934 in Fillmore, California.  He was the son of Albert Hopkins and Ruth (Trussell) Hopkins.  He attended elementary school in Fillmore and graduated high school in Santa Paula, CA.  Tommy served his country proudly in the National Guard.  On June 14, 1952, he married his sweetheart, Vivian Lowry in Santa Paula, CA and they were blessed with 67 years of marriage.

Tommy attended cosmetology school in Bakersfield, CA and worked as a hairstylist.  He later became a restauranteur.  He owned and operated Casa Grande in Valencia, CA which was well known for its delicious Mexican fare.  He and Vivian moved to Henderson, Arkansas on Lake Norfork to help their son with the resort he owned there.  In 2003, Tommy and Vivian moved to Branson and lived at Pointe Royale before moving to their current home in Kirbyville.  Tommy was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.  Time with him was a treasure and he will be sorely missed.

Tommy entered into rest on Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home in Kirbyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bert Hopkins; sisters, Ruby Able and Pat Burkett; and two grandchildren, Ronnie Conn and Billie Conn.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Vivian Hopkins of Kirbyville; son, Thomas Hopkins and fiancée Sheila Ketchum of Nixa; daughters, Panda Conn of Caldwell, Idaho and Cheryl Rickett and husband Joe of Mississippi; and grandchildren, Kelsey Lee Allen, Coltin Fay Hopkins, Holly Martin, Wesley Conn, Colby Hopkins and Panda Husbands, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
