Sheryl Lynn Brashear

Sheryl Lynn Brashear was born on May 5, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of Harry and Marjorie (Wyant) St. John.

She moved to the Hollister area from Marshalltown, IA about 1969.   After moving to Hollister, she worked as City Clerk for Hollister for over twenty-six years.  When Sheryl wasn’t working she enjoyed all types of crafts, bead work and crocheting.  She also loved the outdoors and camping.  Sheryl was a member of the Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church and volunteered at the church.  She loved her Lord and showed it thru her love and helping others.

Sheryl married Terry Brashear on June 19, 1999 in Forsyth.  They had been together for twenty years.

Sheryl entered into rest on Monday, June 17, 2019 at her home in Rockaway Beach at the age of 62.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Dale St. John and Jim St. John.

Sheryl is survived by her loving husband, Terry Brashear of Rockaway Beach; her sons, Matt Beard of Hollister and Brandon Beard of St. Joe, MO; step-son, Christopher Brashear (Jennifer) of Liberty, MO; sister, Linda Sly (Ken) of New Providence, IA; four grandchildren, Hunter Beard, Baylee Beard, Camden Brashear and Jaiden Brashear. 

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-7:30 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Forsyth with Pastor Mickey Wilkey officiating.  Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
