Sarah Belle (Russell) Willert was born May 19, 1948 in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of Arthur & Anna (Dietzman) Russell. She moved with her family to Santa Rosa, California from Denver. On November 29, 1986, Sarah married James Dennis Willert in Santa Rosa. She and Dennis moved from Santa Rosa to Branson and then to Ozark.
Sarah had worked various places in Branson including the Best Western Hotel, Dalton Convenience Store and in nutrition services at Skaggs Hospital. Her greatest achievement was caring for her family and sharing time with them. Sarah was also talented in designing crafts, sewing, quilting and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos.
Sarah entered into rest on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield at the age of 71.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bobby Russell and three sisters, Mary Russell, Dorothy Crysler and Jean Tyler.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Dennis Willert of Ozark; son, Melvin Mears of Dunlap, CA; daughter Cyndi Barker and husband Scott of Kirbyville; brother, Arthur Russell of St. Louis; sister, Patti Jensen of Santa Rosa; four grandchildren, Daryl Barker and wife Billie, Kevin Barker and wife Jennifer; Jesse Barker and Dylan Barker along with three great grandchildren, Brody, Khloe and Klaira.
A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Cassidy United Methodist Church, 5151 N Fremont Rd, Nixa, MO with Associate Pastor Suzanne Epperly officiating.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
