Memorial service for Robert Bidwell, 76, Branson will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Bishop Dean Dutton, Revonda Bradley and Charles Bradley will officiate. Mr. Bidwell passed away Wednesday morning, June 27, 2018 at Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab Center, Hollister.
Robert Thomas Bidwell was born Oct. 10, 1941 in Rochester, New York. He was the son of Thomas & Evelyn (Brewster) Bidwell. Robert grew up and lived in New York where he was an ambulance driver and volunteered with the local fire department. He also owned his own automobile body shop. In addition, Robert was a master carpenter. He enjoyed building and owned his own home building company as well. After moving to Branson, Robert worked at Silver Dollar City. His car knowledge and experience with building lent him well to jobs at B & L Home Repair and at Fall Creek Resort in maintenance of the resort.
He later moved to Lincoln, Arkansas and then to Branson in 1985. Robert married his loving wife, LueAnn, on April 4, 1987 at Keystone Baptist Church in Reeds Spring, MO. They shared a wonderful life together. In his sparetime he loved to collect old records.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son, Calvin Riessen.
He is survived by his wife, LueAnn Cullen Bidwell of Branson; two daughters, Janice Kelley of West Union, West Virginia and Robin Wilkerson of Little Rock, AR; five step-children, Ronnie Bradley and husband Chuck of Hollister, Rachel Burnes and husband Brian of Cold Water, MO, Vicky Jones and husband Goy of Lincoln, AR, Rebecca Powers of Centerton, AR, Allen Powers and wife Gena of Batesville, AR; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
