A Celebration of life service for Ramon P. Baca, 66, of Branson will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Father David Hulshof will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Mr. Baca entered into rest on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Cox South Medical Center, Springfield.
Ramon Paul Baca was born on March 10, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of Ramon Blas and Julia Cecelia (Romero) Baca. Ramon attended Amphi High School in Tucson, AZ and furthered his education at the University of Arizona. He moved to the Branson area from San Diego, California in 1993.
Ramon married Pamela K. Mitchem on July 23, 1994 in Harrison, Arkansas. They had celebrated twenty-four years together last month.
Ramon was a heavy equipment operator, did concrete work and was an accomplished cook. Ramon worked at the Outback Restaurant in Branson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports especially football and watching March Madness. He enjoyed going up in the mountains and carving the Baca brand on trees. He had a great personality, and was one of those people that never met a stranger. Ramon would start up a conversation and walk away with a new friend.
He was preceded in death by his mother Julia Baca Knupp, a brother Ralph Baca and a granddaughter Cyara Baca.
Ramon is survived by his loving wife Pamela of the home; two sons Travis Baca (KK) of Hollister, Aaron Baca (Amanda) of Summer Cove, FL; two step-daughters Jennifer Sandoval (Apolonio, Sr.) of Hollister, Alicia Hunter of Branson; his father Ramon B. Baca (Sharon) of Olathe, CO; three sisters Theresa Baca Zimmer of San Diego, CA; Debi Baca Farris (Jerry) Montrose, CO; Maryann Baca Catania (Nate) of Mentor, OH; one sister-in-law Debbie Baca of Tucson, AZ; fourteen grandchildren, Travis, Adrianna, Victoria, Cruz, Nayelia, Alayna, Victoria, Noah, Domonic, Dayanara, Apolonio Jr., Winter, Skylyn, and Arianna. He will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 6:00 PM until service time at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
