Mel Hosmann, 59, Ridgedale, Missouri died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his home. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
Mel was born on December 27, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to Emory N. and Mary E. (Moore) Hosmann and grew up in Liberty, Missouri where he attended elementary and high school. On May 19, 1990 Mel married the love of his life Janet Lynn (Gaines) and they were blessed with 29 years of marriage.
Mel worked for Kustom Signals, Inc. and Black & Veatch prior to becoming self-employed. Mel and Jan moved to the Ozarks in 2005 which had been a long time goal. He was known for his witty personality and could make friends easily. He believed in living life to the fullest whether it be riding the Junior Rodeo circuit, hunting, fishing, camping, restoring classic cars, flying high or driving his speed boat across Table Rock Lake. But most of all he loved his wife, family, and friends.
Mel is survived by his wife Jan of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Vern and Larry Hosmann and a nephew Mark Hosmann.
