Mary Lucille Carns was born on February 10, 1940 in Mulberry, Kansas. She was the daughter of Lew I. Smith and Bertha E. Smith. She attended elementary school in Sheffield, Illinois and graduated high school from Plainville Rural High School in Plainville, Kansas. Mary was a tremendous wife and mother and took great care of her family. She enjoyed music and playing the piano along with knitting and reading. Mary had resided in Branson for thirty-five years, moving here from Stockton, KS.
Mary entered into rest in Branson on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lew and Bertha Smith; her daughter, Laurie Combs; husbands, Ivan Combs and Jack Carns; and brothers, Virgil R. Smith and Robert W. Smith.
Mary is survived by her brother, James E. Smith and sister, Evelyn J. Newlands.
Graveside services were held Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson where Mary was laid to rest next to her daughter, Laurie.
Arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
