A celebration of life service for Linda Banzet, 71 of Forsyth, will be Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Branson.
Linda Gayle Banzet was born on February 10, 1948 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She grew up in Coffeyville and graduated from Field Kindley High School there in 1966. She went on to attend Kansas State University and graduate with a B.S. degree in Biology in 1970. Linda married Terry Banzet on May 31st of 1970 and they moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Linda went to work for Eppley Cancer Research. In 1985, she earned her Masters Degree in Education from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Linda had a passion for teaching young adults. She taught in Cherryvale, Kansas from 1985 to 2000 and then at Hollister Schools from 2001 to 2011 from which she retired to her home in Forsyth. Linda was a member of First Baptist Church Branson.
She entered into glory on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Linda is survived by her husband, Terry Banzet; her daughter, Jennifer; three sisters; four grandchildren and two half-sisters.
