Kathryn Lou Buzan Estes was born on December 21, 1932 in Kissee Mills, MO. She was the daughter of Arch & Myrtle (Manes) Mayden.
Katie was first and foremost a homemaker and a mom. She owned and operated the Grapevine Gift and Antique Shop in Branson. She was a member of the Christian Church in Branson. She loved to travel and listen to books on tape.
Katie entered into rest on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her home in Branson at the age of 85.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Joe Buzan.
Katie is survived by her husband, Bill Estes of Branson; her daughters, Cathy Gorham and husband Robert of Branson and Cindy Zeller and husband Bill of Branson; sons, William Estes, Jr. and wife Pam of Denton, TX, Chuck Estes of Ft. Smith, AR, Don Estes and wife Carol of St. Charles, MO, Ron Estes and wife Ellen of Wichita, KS; thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 25, 2018 from 5:30-7:00 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson with Pastor Allen Minor officiating.
Katie read hundreds of books provided by the Wolfner Library which provides books for the visually impaired. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Wolfner Library Trust Fund, 600 W. Main St., Jefferson City, MO 65102.
