John Iiams Obituary

Our family morns the passing of John Calvin Iiams.

John Iiams, 76, Omaha, AR, departed this life on July 10, 2018, he died from heart complications with family by his side.

John Calvin Iiams was born to John Murray Iiams and Geneva Bell Flanders Iiams, April 6, 1942 in Cameron, MO.  John graduated from Raytown High and attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City.  He retired to Branson, MO in 2002 where he met his best friend and companion Wanda Nicol.

John was a member of the Branson United Methodist Church, his passion was helping friends and neighbors with special projects, cruising on his motorcycle, boating & sailing on Table Rock Lake.  He especially enjoyed reading his bible, quality time with family, hanging out with friends around the campfire and the Omaha Café.

John is survived by four children:  Three sons, Kenneth Iiams, Michael Iiams & William Iiams and one daughter Gina Iiams all of Kansas City.  He is also survived by three grandchildren Kenneth (Woody) Iiams, Jonathan Iiams, Casey Iiams and one great-grandchild Gunnison along with his brother David Iiams & wife Jan of Kansas City.  He was preceded in death by parents John & Geneva Iiams and sister Pamela Iiams.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1:30 in Blue Springs, Mo.  Burial will be in the Hale Cemetery, Oak Grove, AR at a later date.
