Jesse C. Leach

Funeral services for Jesse C. Leach, 95, of Forsyth will be held Thursday afternoon, August 23, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory.  Rev. Mickey Wilkey will officiate.  Burial will be held at the Center Cemetery in Flanagan, IL at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 25, 2018.  Mr. Leach passed Sunday morning August 19, 2018 at the Forsyth Care Center in Forsyth, MO.

Jesse Clark Leach was born May 27, 1923 in Rooks Creek Township, IL.  He was the son of Jesse P. and Clara E. (Carlson) Leach.   After graduating high school he worked as a farmer in Illinois.  He later became an independent insurance agent, owning and operating his own agency.  Jesse married Darlene Wiechmann on October 27, 1953 in Flanagan, IL and they were blessed with five children.  They had celebrated sixty-five years together this past May.  Jesse and Darlene moved to the Tri-Lakes area from Newark, IL.  

Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and NASCAR racing.  He attended the Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, Forsyth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty Leach; two brothers Earl and Alvin; one sister Lois Gibson; and one grandson Russell Shoop.  

Jesse is survived by his loving wife Darlene Leach; three sons and their wives Leslie Leach (Carol) of East Peoria, IL; Edwin Leach (Cheryl) of Pensacola, FL; Jesse V. Leach (Susan)of Branson West, MO; two daughters Carolyn Shoop of Odell, IL; Cynthia Evans (Ed) of Hollister, MO; one brother Lyle Leach of Graymont, IL; two sisters Marilyn Cunningham (Harold) of Pontiac, IL and Pauline Waters of Fairbury, IL along with eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM preceding the service in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
