Hazel Keithley Weaver Goodall Kimmel
Hazel Keithley Weaver Goodall Kimmel was born April 14, 1919 in Taney County, Missouri and died on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Glasgow MO where she was residing at the Glasgow Gardens Living Center.
Hazel lived her 100 years well raising 3 sons, Jim Weaver, Ken Weaver, and stepson John Goodall. Hazel also was much loved by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all enjoyed her undivided attention and delicious cooking.
Her parents were Jim Keithley and Lunda Weatherman Keithley. It was not an easy early life as her mother died when she was only 4 years old and was raised by her father and 3 brothers, Earl, Alfred (Keith) and Joe. Goldie Brown was her beloved aunt who provided the important woman in her early life. As a young girl Hazel often visited Bonniebrook and her friend Rose O’Neill (the creator of the Kewpie Doll) who called Hazel “her darling little Hazel.” Hazel could make much out of nearly nothing without complaint, was an excellent seamstress and was seemingly always cheerful.
Before beginning her family and raising her sons, Hazel attended Southwest Missouri State Teachers’ College and then went on to teach school in Day, Missouri.
She was a treasured sister, mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many and will be much missed.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 1pm at Snapp Cemetery in Forsyth, MO under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
