Frederick "Rick" John Wissel, III

Frederick J. “Rick” Wissel, III was born March 10, 1949 in Hawthorne, California.  He was the son of Frederick Wissel, II and Margie (Reid) Wissel.  He grew up in Hawthorne, attending grade school at Hawthorne Christian School and high school through his sophomore year in the Leuzinger Public School System before moving to Sweet Springs, MO.  He graduated high school from Sweet Springs R-7 School in 1967.  He married his beautiful wife, Susan Barr Summers on August 31, 1979.  Rick enjoyed casino trips, golfing and fishing with his son.  He also liked to listen to music. 

Rick entered into rest on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home in Ozark at the age of 70.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Margie Wissel and his wife Susan Barr (Summers) Wissel.

He is survived by his son, Richard Paul Wissel of Ozark, his brother, Bob Wissel and wife Darlene of Kirbyville along with four sister-in-laws, Liz and husband Gene Elson, Janet and husband Stanley Loges, Rosemary Crosswhite, and Loretta and husband Norman Rennison; three brother-in-laws, John and wife Pam Summers, Mark and wife Pam Summers and David Summers along with several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery in Shackleford, Missouri.  Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
