Forest Edward Reavis was born on May 27, 1940 in Lexington, Missouri. He was the son of Forest H. Reavis and Ruby M. (Neal) Reavis. He graduated from Macks Creek High School in 1958. He served active duty in the U.S. Navy from May 1958 to October 1966. After military services, Ed worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation from October 1966 to 1982 and then took early retirement.
Ed had a successful restaurant career after his retirement, working and owning restaurants from 1980 to 2009. He was partners in Palermo’s Restaurants, Inc. which had restaurants in Branson, Lebanon and Rolla. He had worked at Old Apple Mill Restaurant and Shoney’s in Branson and owned and operated Jo-Ed’s Restaurant in Rockaway Beach. He worked at Bonanza and also Grand Country Buffet until his second retirement in July 2009. Ed also enjoyed coin and knive collecting.
He entered into rest on August 5, 2018 in Hollister at the age of 78.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sheila Jensen and son, Russell Reavis.
He is survived by his daughter, Tasha Williams of Branson, daughter Tammy Reavis Plavier of Plano, Texas along with dear friends who will deeply miss him.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
