Evelyn Hamon was born on March 5, 1933 near Enon, Arkansas. She was the eighth of nine children born to Robert Hamon and Della (Littrell) Hamon. At six years of age, Evelyn moved with her family to Taney County. She attended elementary school at Pinetop and high school at Hollister. Evelyn loved the Lord and was a faithful follower of Jesus. She enjoyed watching westerns on television and listening to classical country music. She currently resided in Salina, Kansas.
Evelyn entered into rest on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the Salina Regional Health Center. She was 86 years of age.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lloyd Hamon, Arthur Hamon, David Hamon and Carrol Hamon; sisters, Alice Berry and Lena Plott.
She is survived by her sister, Alta May Cary of Hollister and her brother, Gordon Hamon of Kirbyville.
Graveside services will be Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in Cedar Valley Cemetery, Hollister with Pastor Kenneth Robinette officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
