Elaine Marie McKenzie

Elaine Marie McKenzie was born January 21, 1951 in Chanute, Kansas.  She was the daughter of Francis Lee Sharp and Doris (Douglass) Sharp.  She graduated from Wichita Heights High School in Wichita, KS.  On February 14, 1970, Elaine married the love of her life, Thomas McKenzie in Erie, KS.  Elaine had a wonderful life making a home and raising two children, traveling, and loving and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time crafting, watching movies and playing golf.  She attended the Sanctuary of Hope in Branson.  She had moved to Branson several years ago from Cleveland, OK.

Elaine entered into rest on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the age of 67.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Sharp and Dorene Houck.

She is survived by her husband, Tom McKenzie of Branson; children Travis McKenzie of Branson and Shana McNish and husband Paul of Branson; grandchildren, Kaleb, McKenzie and Madelaine along with her half-sister Danielle Huff and husband Marvin of Conway Springs, KS.

Visitation will be Monday, April 30 from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sanctuary of Hope with Pastors Dr. Sam Kaunley and Rick Conway officiating.  Burial will follow in Mtn. Grove Cemetery in Branson.
