E. Lee McFarland, Sr.

E. Lee McFarland, Sr. was born on June 9, 1941 in Taneyville, Missouri to Leonard McFarland and Lela May (Davis) McFarland.  His family moved to Hollister where Lee graduated from Hollister High School.  He will be well remembered for his love of old cars and hot rods and his skill in rebuilding classic rods.  He was a long-time employee of White River Electric where he used his automotive skills keeping trucks on the road.

Lee enjoyed car shows and swap meets.  He loved the outdoors as well especially camping and pheasant hunting.  He married his loving wife Sandy on July 4, 2016 at the Hollister Church of Christ where Lee was a member.

He entered into rest on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at his home in Hollister at the age of 78.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores “Dee” McFarland; infant son, T. A. McFarland, III; son, Lee McFarland, Jr.; and brother, Louis McFarland.

Lee is survived by his wife, Sandy McFarland of Hollister; son, Chadd McFarland of Lexington, KY; daughter, Debbie Butts of Wilson, NC; sister, Jeannie Moore of Horseshoe Bend, AR; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be at Hollister Church of Christ on Monday, November 25, 2019 with visitation beginning at 11:30 A.M. till service time at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor David Hamlin officiating.  Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory.
