Dale Hedrick Obituary

Dale Alden Hedrick was born on January 23, 1940 to Dale Edward Hedrick and Annette Patricia “Pat” (Bennett) Hedrick.  He grew up in California till the age of twelve, when his family moved to Lenexa, Kansas.  Dale graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School and attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence.  He was a top salesman in the oil and gas industry and later as a Vice President of Manufacturing for Green Jewelry Company in Lenexa.  Later in life, Dale was a salesman for God - an evangelist on mission.

In 1969, Dale married the love of his life, Cynthia Bartlett in Overland Park, KS.  They raised their children in Olathe.  Dale was a great husband, father and business man.  He was an advocate for small businesses, free enterprise and a voice for them in Washington D.C. with his board at Mid-Continent Small Business United.  He was part of the Conference on Small Business and fought for their ability to have lower interest rates.  He received letters of honorary appreciation and service from Presidents Carter, Reagan and George H. W. Bush.

In 1993, Dale and Cindy moved to Branson.  Dale used the talents given to him by God using his small voice to make a big impact counseling couples.  He used wisdom imparted to him to work and facilitate healing in marriages for over 14 years in counseling at James River Church.  He loved to be called “Trouble”.  He loved people and so many people loved him.  He leaves a legacy, centered on Christ though those he touched through counseling, being a loving friend, and his family.

Dale entered into rest on Monday, October 14, 2019 at his home in Branson at the age of 79.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jaunel Doxsee.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hedrick of Branson; son, Jim Ballard and wife Crystal of Stockton, CA; daughter, Christine Hedrick of Dallas, TX; sons, Dale Edward Hedrick, II, Brent Hedrick and wife Cristal and Chad Hedrick all of Branson; grandchildren, Lauren Ballard, Kyle Ballard, Kresleigh Hedrick and Cash Hedrick and one sister, Clifteen Lewis of Overland Park, KS.
