Memorial services for Charles R. Sharp, 88, of Branson West, will be Monday March 19, 2018 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Officiating will be Chaplain Brian Nebel and Pastor Sam Stauffer. Burial with full military rites will be held at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. Mr. Sharp entered into rest on Mar. 13, 2018.
Charles Ray Sharp was born March 7, 1930 in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of Raymond and Gertrude (Berglund) Sharp. He served his country in the United States Navy for twenty years in active duty and six years in the Naval Reserves. He retired from the Navy with the rank CM2. After retirement he purchased Crue Cut Manufacturing which sold and serviced lawn mowers and manufactured mini cars many of which were purchased by the Shriners of America.
Charles married Alta Brown on January 29, 1949 in Irving, Texas. They had celebrated sixty-nine years together this past winter. Charles and Alta were blessed with two children.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Gertrude Sharp and a great grandson Keller Sharp.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Alta; children Gary Sharp (Kaye); Linda Jones (Vearl); grandchildren, Jaime Jaccard (Rob), Ryan Sawyer (Rachel), Buffy Bezek (Tom), Nick Sharp (Lee), Danielle Lawrence (Steve), Heather Anderson (Tyler); great grandchildren Kinsey, Jagger and Paisley Sharp; Emery and Sydney Lawrence; Eli and Raelee Anderson; brother in law Buddy Brown (Jean), and several nieces and nephews.
