Catherine Dean

Catherine Dean entered into rest on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her home in Branson at the age of 70.  Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Catherine Humber Dean was born November 27, 1949 to Joseph William Humber and Sarah (Mize) Humber in Bessemer, Alabama.  She grew up in Bessemer and after graduating high school there, moved to Charlotte, NC where she attended Piedmont Community College.  On July 2, 1980, Catherine married Sanford “Sandy” Dean in Gatlinburg, TN.  They moved to Branson in 1992 from New Jersey.  Catherine helped Sandy operate their businesses Comet Cleaners and CSD & Associates Inc.  Catherine enjoyed reading and cooking.  She was part of a local book club and she could be found taking pointers from cooking shows she liked to watch daily.  Her family enjoyed the great meals and treats she would fix for them.  Most of all, Catherine had great love for her children, grandchildren and dogs and cherished the moments she got to be with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Oogie Humber.

She is survived by her husband, Sandy Dean of Branson; sons, Robert O. Jackson III (Diana) of Branson and Joseph B. Jackson of Houston, TX; daughter, Angela K. Baylis (Matt) of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Faye Ervin of Birmingham, AL and Linda Jones of Hazelton, AL along with five grandchildren.
