Billie Marie “Jim” Blunk was born on November 13, 1933 in Kimberling City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Tompie Ramsey Turner and Mary (Luscomb) Turner. Jim graduated from Blue Eye High School. She married Bobby Blunk on January 1, 1955 in Branson. They shared a wonderful 63 years of love, cherished companionship and great memories.
Jim worked for many years at Andy’s Cleaners for Andy Luce and later at Branson Cleaners for Claude Casey doing alterations and pressing. She loved fishing and could about out fish anyone who would go with her. She also enjoyed crocheting and collecting dishes. She shared another great love and pastime of attending auctions. She often would help the auctioneers with the sales but when she wasn’t needed to do that, she loved to buy treasures she would find at the auctions.
Jim entered into rest on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her home in Hollister at the age of 84.
Jim was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Blunk of Hollister; her sister, Polly Freeman of Madras, Oregon, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 21 at 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Robinette officiating. Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
