Agnes Johnson Obituary

Agnes Lavonne Johnson of Ozark Missouri, formerly of Cedar Falls Iowa, was born the daughter of Carl and Fannie (Johnson) Siems on January 28, 1932 in Kesley, Iowa.  She grew up in rural Butler County until 1945 when her parents moved to Parkersburg, Iowa.  She graduated from Aplington High School.

Growing up she was a member of the Bethel Lutheran church in Parkersburg Iowa, where she was married.  Of that union she had three children; Rickey, Mitchell and Teresa.

Agnes was proud to have worked as a Quality Inspector for Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp, a government defense contractor in Waterloo, Iowa.  Agnes retired from there in the early 1990’s.

After retirement, Agnes moved to the Branson, Missouri area from Cedar Falls, Iowa.  She volunteered in her community and enjoyed the Branson shows.  Agnes had a love for cats, especially her current fur baby, “Baby”.  She loved to garden and the outdoors and was especially skilled at cutting wood for her wood burning stove.  Her father, Carl, was a highly meticulous carpenter.  Agnes’s eye for quality carpentry was just as keen.

Agnes had an infectious personality and a kind and compassionate spirit; she won the hearts of many who came in contact with her.

Agnes went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2019.  She reached the age of 87 years, 3 months.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, two brothers; Melvin and Kenneth Siems, and a special friend John Fecht.

Special thanks to Season’s Hospice for their kind, gentle, and compassionate care of their “Ms. Agnes”.
