Linda C. Smith

Linda C. Smith, 65, of Hollister passed away October 16, 2017 in her home.  Linda was born August 2, 1952 to Lloyd and Grace (Parks) Smith in Waterloo, Iowa.

Linda had attended East High School in Waterloo and after graduating, she entered cosmetology school, and owned her own salon in Carefree, Arizona.  Besides being very skilled in cosmetology, she also became very involved in fashion.  So much so that she designed for the Rich Little show.  Linda was a member of the Potawatomi Tribe of Oklahoma and was very proud of her heritage.  Linda had once appeared as a winning contestant on the Price Is Right game show with Bob Barker as the host, and she was able to kiss him on the nose.  Linda had worked many years at Thousand Hills golf course, serving in the restaurant where she also enjoyed being around the guests.  Linda was very fond of her two dogs, Tiffany and Romeo, who gave her so much love.

Linda is preceded in death by her father Lloyd.  She leaves behind her mother Grace, long time loving companion Eddie Rissler of the home; brother Lloyd Smith and wife Gloria of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister Sherry Wilson of Cedar Falls, Iowa; sister Shanan Smith of Cedar Falls, Iowa; brother Floyd Smith and sister Kelly Phillips; a number of nieces and nephews; her lifelong friend Debra Baranyos and her dogs Romeo and Tiffany.
