Danny Lee Spiker

Funeral services for Danny Lee Spiker, 69, Ridgedale will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Visitation will be on Saturday in the funeral home from 11:30 AM until the funeral service time.  Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery in Hillsboro, Illinois on Monday, June 12 at 11:00 AM. Danny passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Danny was born on July 14, 1947 in De Soto, Missouri.  He was the son of William H. Spiker, Jr. and Marjorie (Wideman) Spiker.  He married Sheryl Ahring on June 5, 1968 in Caseyville, Illinois and they were blessed with five children. 

Danny proudly served in the United States Marine Corp as a Sergeant during Vietnam.  Upon returning from Vietnam, he went to work as a railroad engineer with the Illinois Terminal and the Northfolk and Southern Railroad.  After retiring from the railroad, Danny was an insurance agent with American Family Insurance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jeremy Spiker and three brothers Robert, Richard and Michael Spiker.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Spiker of Ridgedale; his three sons, Danny Spiker II and wife Melissa of Hollister, Kevin Spiker of Branson, Shaun Spiker and wife Heather of Troy, MO and daughter Courtney Spiker Maillet and husband Chris of Ridgedale, seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 11:30AM until service time at 1:00 PM in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
