Bobby George Rains

Bobby George Rains was born June 22, 1935 in Powersite, Mo.  He was the son of Cleo Clifford “Red” and Charlcie (Edwards) Rains.  Bobby graduated from Forsyth High School, Forsyth, Mo.  

Bobby married the love of his life Suzanne Bartholomew on June 2, 1957 in Forsyth.  To this union they were blessed with two children.  Bobby and Suzy had celebrated sixty years together this past June.

Bobby worked for the telephone company beginning as a lineman then installation and repairing and retired as a PBX Technician.   He attended the Sardis General Baptist Church, Forsyth.  Bobby enjoyed hunting turkeys and deer and fishing.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bobby passed away Tuesday, October 3, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 82. 

 He was preceded in death by his father Red Rains.   

Bobby is survived by his wife, Suzy Rains, of Powersite; his children and their spouses, Donnie (Cindy) Rains and Patti (Tony) Turner; and his mother, Charlcie Rains all of Powersite, Mo.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Casey (Angela) Rains, Cole (Justine) Rains, Ashley (Zack) Dombek and Toby (Suzanne) Turner, and twelve great-grandchildren.
