Arthur Richard Winner

Arthur Richard Winner, 83 of Hollister, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.  Memorial services will be held, Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson with Pastor Gary McSpadden officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.

Art was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey on January 6, 1934 to Howard Thompson Winner and Bessie Elizabeth (Griffith) Winner.  He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp which took him overseas to Morocco where he proudly served before returning to the states.  He resided in Colorado much of his life where he was a rural route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.  On February 14, 1997 he married his loving wife Judi in Rifle, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife Sandy Winner.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Judi Winner of Hollister; children, Leslie Deshazer of Englewood, CO, Wendy Winner of Branson, his step-children Todd (Stella) Cox of Newcastle, OK,  Debbie (Bill) Ball of Walnut Shade, Barbie (Ken) Nicolle of Clinton, OK, and Matthew (Lezli) Cox of Norman, OK; brothers, Billy (Joann) Winner of Piedmont, MO, and David Winner of Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Patsy (Ken) Gustavsen of Chuckey, TN and Janet (Joseph) Zarzaca of NJ; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
